This is the second artist residency facilitated by The White House Studio Project, a communal multi-platform art space located in the heart of Kensington Market!
In the spirit of supporting emerging artists and art projects, we are pleased to invite individual applicants to the second White House Studio Project Artist Residency! We aim to provide local emerging artists with the opportunity to concentrate on a specific project and see it realized in the form of a solo exhibition.
This residency will run from the first Monday of November and will include 24/7 access to an 8′x8′ work space, our exhibition space for your own exhibition, and a lovely community of fellow artists.
The cost of the residency is $0 and it includes the aforementioned 8×8 work space and exhibition space for your end-of-residency show, a screen printing washout/dark room, high speed internet, free weekly life drawing sessions for the duration of the residency, and a large online network of friends and supporters.
Interested artists should submit the following by October 24, 2016:
- A brief description of your proposed project (max 300 words), including materials and tools you will be working with
- A brief artist statement/bio (max 200 words)
- Up to 10 images and/or videos of your previous work
